Show Fifty Students To Take Northern Trip Soon Fifty students of the Biology department of the Dixie junior college will leave on January 27. for a three day trip to Provo and Salt. Lake, under the direction of Coach Lee Hafen, hygiene instructor instruc-tor at the college and Dr. D. It has been the policy of the biology department to conduct an ', educational tour to the northern ' parts of the state each year for ! the classes in hygiene. This has S been done for the past four years, with the exception of last year, according to Doctor Beck. The tour has been scheduled for the twenty-seventh, to make it possible for those who go to attend the leadership programs in session at the Brigham Young university nt that time. The trip will be made in conjunction con-junction with the basketball game at Parowan on January 27, between be-tween the Parowan high school team and the Dixie high school. The students will stop long enough to see the game and then proceed to Provo. Among the places of interest the students will visit are: The Utah State hospital nt Provo, the Brigham Young university, KSL radio station in Salt Lake, the State Capitol, the fish hatcheries. University of Utah, and the L.D.S. Tabernacle. They will also nttend an organ recital at the Talier-nacle. |
