Show Cox Talks to Beet Seed Growers On Their Problems Growers to Assign 14 of Checks to Association; Control Con-trol of Weeds Urged The beet seed growers and their partners held a social in the basement base-ment of the stake Tabernacle on Wednesday evening at 8:30. President Pres-ident LeRoy Cox addressed the group on problems relative to beet seed growing. President Cox reminded the growers of the Hail insurance that could be had and suggested that they take advantage of it inasmuch inas-much as it was a late spring and was still continuing cold. It was moved and seconded in the course of his remarks that the growers this year assign per cent of their checks to the association. Last year they assigned one per cent and were greatly pleased with the organization program that was carried out. He reminded growers grow-ers of the importance of sending out clean seed and urged that every grower keep his fields clean from obnoxious weeds. He warned that measures would be taken by the organization against the members who failed to free their land from these weeds, especially es-pecially the morning glory.
