Show TWO MEMBERS TO BE ELECTED FOR CO. SCHOOL BOARD Election of two members of the Washington county school board will be held Wednesday, December Decem-ber 2. A representative from district dis-trict No. 2. which comprises Le-Verkin Le-Verkin and Hurricane and District Dis-trict No. 2, which comprises St. George West and Washington will be selected, Milton E. Moody, county school superintendent, explained ex-plained today. In District No. 2 the names of J. W. Imlay and Claud Hirschi will appear on the official ballot. In District No. 4, the names of Bryan Lund and W. B. Mathis will appear on the ballot. Legislation passed in 19 3 5, states Superintendent Moody, makes the term of office of the representative of District No. 2 just three years and that of District Dis-trict No. 4 five years. The purpose pur-pose cf this, he explained, is to make it possible after the election elec-tion of 1938 for the board to have not more than one new memher in any one year. After the routine becomes established the term of office of every board member will be five years. All citizens, within these districts, dis-tricts, who are eligible to vote in general election are eligible to vote at this election, he said. |
