Show STATE MEN HERE TO OBTAIN SHOP BUILDING DATA R. K. Brown of the stake building build-ing commission, together with i engineers Miles E. Miller and Mr. Oartwright were in St. George Monday in connection with ob- , taining figures necessary for the construction of the proposed shop building at the Dixie college. The college has had the project accepted by the Government, but the allottment of funds has not yet been made. It is expected that this will be done during the next few days. The State of Utah has already appropriated a sum to match the Government allotment. allot-ment. The building is figured to cost a little more than $13,000, and will be constructed of cement brick. It will be located just back of the Science building. It is likely that a small plot of ground will need to be purchased to allow ample room for the building. It will consist of a large room for miscellaneous shop work, a class room for drafting, a teacher's teach-er's office, tool space, locker room and rest room. When completed a greatly enriched shop program will be possible. All plans are being prepared so that work may be started as soon as the Government money is released. re-leased. The building will be a W P A project. |
