Mrs. Ula West was the guest of honor at a shower given at the home of Mrs. Annie Schmutz last Saturday evening. She was Miss Ula Lee, daughter of Mrs. Clara Lee of Panaca, Nevada prior to her marriage to James West of Pioche, Nevada here some time ago. Mrs. Wilford Whipple of Lo-gandale, Lo-gandale, Nevada spent last week here visiting her parents, Mr. and j Mrs. George Thompson and other I relatives. Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Mitchell and Mrs. Mattie Empey returned home Friday from Los Angeles where they spent ;a week visiting Mrs. Ella Dansby. Mr.and Mrs. J. P. Terry and her sister, Mrs. Campbell left on Saturday for Salt Lake City after af-ter spending the ;winter here working in the Temple. Mrs. Clarence Anderson returned re-turned home Wednesday from a ten-day visit with her husband and other relatives in Salt Lake City. Willard Boydston o f M'cCall, Idaho arrived here Sunday for a week's visit with his wife and two children who have made their home here this winter. Mrs. Laura Porter of Hatch is visiting her sisters, Mrs. Ellen Chamberlain and Mrs. John Lang here while enroute from Mesa, Arizona where she spent the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Oxborrow returned to their home at Lund, Nevada last Wednesday after spending the winter here working in the Temple and visiting relatives. rela-tives. Carlyle Thompson left Tuesday Tues-day fOT Salt Lake City to spend about two weeks on business. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cox of Orderville arrived here Monday to visit relatives and work in the Temple. Hutchings entertained enter-tained the members of her pinochle pi-nochle club at the Standard tfafe on Tuesday evening. Prize for the evenings playing was awarded to Mrs. George Pace. Lyman Earl was operated on Saturday morning in a Las Vegas hospital for sinus trouble. Miss Ruth Mendenhall left last Monday morning for her home in Springville 'after spending the winter here with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Madsen. Coach and Mrs. Leland Hafen, and idaughter, Maxine and Miss Toni Watson left Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon for Salt Lake City where chey will attend the state basketball bas-ketball tournament in progress now. George P. Lytle has purchased the shoe repairing equipment of J. F. Linder and expects to open a shop here within the near future. fu-ture.
