Show Letter From Californian Praises Scenic Attractions of This Section A letter written by Forest B. Elliot of Hollywood, Calif, to the St. George Chamber of Commerce gives an insight into the reaction of other people regarding the scenic attractions of this section. Mr. Elliott is high in his praise of this section and offers to advertise ad-vertise it to his friends. Following is his letter: January 3rd. 1940. Laron S. Andrus, Secretary Chamber of Commerce St. George. Utah. Dear Mr. Andrus: We eight of us had a very-pleasant very-pleasant time in your vicinity during the holidays. You have a very beautiful country indeed, and to my mind the scenery in that area far surpasses the beauty of the Grand Canyon. Yosemite, or any other vacation spot in this country. We saw Zion Park, the Volcanic cones. Snow Canyon, visited the oil fields, and of course the Temple grounds, and did some trading in St. George. Could you send me several of those sepia folders of St. George with the picture of the Temple on the cover? Just in case I have friends who may contemplate such a visit. Thankinc you for your interest and cordiality. I am, Sincerely yours. FORREST B. ELLIOTT. 676S Lexington Avenue Hollywood, California. |
