Show PAL OF HUBBARD PASSES AWAY IN CALIFORNIA "Jack" Welsh, one of the central figures in the recent trouble which finally ended in the killing by Floyd Hubbard of John Allen of Logandale, Nevada at Pahcoon spring, on the Arizan strip, passed away last Wednesday Wed-nesday at Chico, Calif., according to word received in St. George. Death was ascribed to brain fever, according to information received. Welsh, son of a ranch owner near Pahcoon, was one of the two men accused ac-cused by Allen of stealing his horses, and at the time Allen arrested Hubbard Hub-bard and took him to Las Vegas for trial, he also had a warrant for Hubbard Hub-bard on a similar count. Welsh is alleged to have been present pres-ent at the time Allen was shot, but his whereabouts were not known since Allen met his death. Welsh was 35 years of age at the time of his death. |
