Show AMES DOCTOR ENGAGED AT DIM COLLEGE D. Elden Beck, Degreed at Iowa State College, Here to Take Over Basic Science Sci-ence Instruction Duties 'D. Elden Beck, engaged by the Dixie College to take over instruction in-struction in basic sciences in the institution for the remainder of the term, arrived here Tuesday. Mr. Beck, as was Prof. J. Win. Harrison, whose position he fills, is a student of the Iowa State college at Ames. He has completed com-pleted all his course and residence resi-dence work, and will receive his Ph. D. degree there in the June, 1933, commencement. Mr. Beck received his A B degree de-gree in 1929 and M, A in 1930 at Brigham Young university, ma- jfi hi. uuiug iiiu uiuiui in entomology. en-tomology. For three years he has been at Ames, in that institution insti-tution majoring in entomology and minoring in zoology and plant pathology. His experience includes assistant assist-ant to Dr. V. M. Tanner in zoology zoo-logy at B. Y. U during the 1928-29 term, and research fellow fel-low concerned with the apple maggot investigation in Iowa. He did biological expeditionary work into Old Mjexico for the B. Y. j U. in 1931. |
