Show POULTRY COMPANY QUOTES. PRICES Market for Cliickens Indicated to Be on Upward Trend, but Increase Is Slow. Theodore Malm returned Wednesday Wed-nesday from California where he has been completing the turkey poult deals at the extremely low prices quoted in the advertisement advertise-ment in this issue of the Washington Wash-ington County News. Mr. Malm states that the market for 1932 will demand more smaller size turkeys than has been usual in the past. From this year's experience with hatcheries hatch-eries and marketing, he has completed schedules on raising and caring for the young poults so as to obtain the highest quality qual-ity birds. Mr. Malm states that he was unable to complete a credit plan for supplying turkeys this year on account of not getting the producers together to book large enough orders to- make the proposition attractive for the bankers to finance. However, the Dixie Products hopes to accomplish accom-plish such a plan for 1933. The produce market in general gen-eral is on an upward trend, and better prices are expected. The increases are slow, but the poultry industry is bringing larger returns than any other branch of livestock production. |
