Show HUMPHERIES FINED S299.990NASSAULT N. L. Humphreys. of St. George, w-.is convicted in the District Dis-trict Court of the Fifth District of the crime of simple Assault by a jury today, and was tlned the sum of $299.99 by Judge LeRoy H. Cox. Mr. Humphreys was accused of an assault with a deadly weapon upon one Charles Larson, with a sharp instrument. In the assault Larson w-.is cut around the head ar.d throat and nearly bled to death before medical assistance was obtained. The evidence showed that the parties involved had been out to Little Arizona, a beer garden, and on the road back the attack was said to have taken place. Humphreys Hum-phreys claimed that he had been drinking and was asleep and did not know that he had made the att-k upon Larson. j The jury sworn to try the case were Harvey Jackson. Reed Fuller.
