OCR Text	Show PETTY IS BOSS IX THIRD HOUSE OF LEGISLATURE The "third house" (playhouse of the Utah legislature) was organized Wednesday afternoon by Speaker Charles B. Petty of Hurricane, with the usual flow of hilarity. One of the surprises was the addition of a poet laureate to Speaker Petty's cabinet. cab-inet. Choice fell upon A. W. Hansen of Fielding, representative from Box-elder Box-elder county. It is announced that there shall be no standing committee nor sitting committees, but in lieu of that there shall he a buzzing committee, whose duty shall be to see that everybody gets stung." Among Speaker Petty's numerous appointments: were Keeper of the bull, James Franklin Frank-lin Tolton; official joker, Horace C. Beck; official censor of jokes, Mrs. Julia Smart; sergent-at-arms, Mrs. Achsa Paxman of Provo, with C. K. Winans as assistant. R. Verne McCullough was made "official undertaker and-sexton for burying murdered bills."
