Show FORMER UTAH MAN DIES IN AUTO WRECK BEAVER. Leo W. Sperry, 36, a member ' of the Lcs Angeles police po-lice force, and formerly an instructor in-structor in the Deseret gymnasium in Salt Lake, was killed 14 miles south of Beaver last Thursday when the car in which he was riding overturned while rounding Muley point on Buckhorn flat. Mr. Sperry, accompanied by his wife' and small son, and Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Saxton, were en route from Los Angeles to Salt Lake to attend the funeral o f Creighton G. King. Mrs. Sperry and Mrs. Saxton are sisters of Mrs. King, , who was formerly Alice Edwards. Mrs. Sperry and her three-year-old son were taken to the hospital hos-pital at Beaver in a critical condition. con-dition. P Mr. and Mrs. Saxton escaped with superficial injuries. Mrs. Sperry was at the wheel at the time of the accident and was traveling at a rapid rate of speed y.-hen the automobile struck loose gravel on a curve and overturned. |
