Show NINETY PER CENT FILMED IN SANTA YNEZ CAN' YON ! The idealism and romantic flavor fla-vor which sky-rocketed Harold Bell Wright's novel, "Eyes of the World", to a record-breaking circulation cir-culation of 1,350,000 copies, is faithfully reproduced by Henry King in his direction of the all-dialogue all-dialogue picture of that title to be shown at the Electric theater Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18. Every little detail, from the setting set-ting of the production to the characterization of its principal actors and actresses, was filmed with strict regard for Wright's original or-iginal conception. More than ninety per cent of the picture was filmed -in the Santa Yncz canyon, a pretty spot in the national forest thirty miles from Santa Barbara, where mountains moun-tains and valleys meet in a slow march to the sea. "Eyes of the World" is a romance ro-mance of the great outdoors. Against this vivid background of rugged mountains and rushing streams, a mountain girl and a j dreaming artist work out their salvation of love despite the intrigues in-trigues of a love-starved woman who wants the artist for herself. A remarkable speaking cast is featured in the picture. |
