Show CITY ELECTION STIMULUS TO REGISTRATION The special city election held Monday aroused much interest and was an incentive to many to register reg-ister who otherwise probably would not have dene so. A .large number num-ber of names were added to the list in both precincts on the two registration cays previous to the election. The total for the city at the close of last Wednesday's registration was 1041. There is but one day left to register before the general election ; on November 4. It is imperative j that every citizen make sure that he is properly registered for the exercise of his franchise. 1 ! The city election brought out the fact that many who thought ; their names were on the lists, were 1 net registered. Districts have been ' changed, names copied from book to book, and registration places changed. In these changes many mistakes have been made. Names have ben misspelled, errors made in givsn names and some hate-been hate-been lost from the list. Everyone should make a special effort on Tuesday, October 23, the last registration reg-istration day, to see that his name is correctly written in the book. Tre registration agents for St. George are: West, Mrs. Vira Ful-lereon, Ful-lereon, and East, Mrs. Agatha McAllister. |
