Show ALL UTAH HARVESTS EXCKIT CORN, BEETS SHOW INCREASE With the exception of two commodities, com-modities, corn and sugar beets, substantial sub-stantial increases are shown in the late Utah harvests, according to the monthly report of Frank Andrews, federal agricultural statistican. Utah's corn production is now placed at 450,000 burhels, com pa red with 494.000 last year; while the sugar beet tonnage is pku-'d at 005.-000 005.-000 this year compared to G77.0W tons in 1927. Present potato estimates indieale a crop of 3,2r;G.0OO bushels, against 2.970.000 last year. A slight inere;L;e is also shown in the tuber crop for the total of the United States. The commercial pear output in Utah is 72.000 tons with only 00.000 ton.i recorded for last year; while grapes number 1520 tons against 1320. An inrrcasc of nearly 200,000 bushels is indicated in the apple crop. |
