Show BIDS WANTED ON I ZION PARK ROAD I Bids will be received by the state road commission January 6 for construction con-struction of the road from Anderson's Ander-son's ranch to Toquerville on the Zion national park highway, according accord-ing to members of the state road commission. com-mission. The arrangement was made follow- J ing a conference yesterday attended by the state road commissioners and Randall L. Jones of the Union Pacific railroad. Mr. Jones reported that Utah county had guaranteed virtually all its quota of $5000, toward matching match-ing federal aid for improvement of roads leading to Zion national park, and that the remainder probably wouia oe pledged tomorrow. Subscriptions Sub-scriptions by citizens of other counties count-ies brought the total almost to the $30,000 desired. The state road J commission has delayed advertising for bids pending assurance that sufficient suffi-cient money would be available to match federal aid. The coming session ses-sion of the legislature will be asked to reimburse the citizens who have signed notes so that roads may be improved im-proved for the heavy tourist travel expected as a result of the advertising of Utah's scenic wonders. j Ten thousand of the $30,000 will be expended on the Anderson's ranch- Toquerville road and $20,000 on the road from the Iron county line to Ash creek.
