Show FRES. H.J, GRANT, WIDTSOE LEAVE MESSAGE HERE President Heber J. Grant and Dr. Widstoe, were greeted by the largest crowd to assemble- in. the tabernacle since this stake was divjided. This was especially pleasing to church officers because be-cause of the short notice that was given to the people of the coming of these two men. The main theme of the two speakers was overcoming the fear that has gripped the people at the present time. Each gave fine inspirational talks in which they spoke from the experiences of their lives and people in which they have come in contact to prove the wonderful power of I faith and what it can do for I those who abide in it. In using j the lives of people who are known and following them through their ! lives and telling of the wonder-i wonder-i ful ' part faith had played in . bringing them through, the speak-' speak-' ers did much to drive out fear ! and create faith, hope and cour- a?e to those who heard them. President Bentley thanked the ; speakers for the opportunity of fathering together and hearing their message. He also expressed ; the hope that this group of peo- ' pie wouldn't have to wait so long for another visit from them. He pointed out that under present pre-sent conditions it is only a seven i hour drive from Salt Lake City to St. George, and hoped they . would be able to come often. |
