Show e - . . ' Mr. and Mrs. John Petty of Hur-" Hur-" ricane attended the funeral of Mrs. Petty's grandson, Leland Stevens, here last Friday. Mrs. Mary Roberts and Misses - Kathryn, Virginia and Jeanne Howard How-ard of Salt Lake City arrived here Wednesday to visit Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace B. Mathis and daughters Lillian and Norma, left Wednesday for Salt Lake and Ogden to spend several days. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Maynard in company with A. H. Maynard of ' Venice, Calif., spent last week visiting vis-iting in Hinckley. They returned' home Friday. Mrs. Jed Cox and daughter, Louisa, Lou-isa, and Mrs. Ruth Walter and baby of Cedar City were visitors here this morning while en route home from .Los Angeles where they spent the past six weeks. A. J. Hutchings, daughter Miss TLorna and son Gordon returned Sunday from Beaver accompanied ' by Miss Helen Anderson of Central, : Sevier county, who will spend two weeks here. The East ward Trail Builders and Seagull girls enjoyed a swimming party at the Cascade Monday evening. eve-ning. They were under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Annie Webb, Mrs. Sadie Cottam and Miss Norma Pickett. Mr. and Mrs. Will Squires and Mrs. Emma Squire arrived here on ' Wednesday to visit relatives while en route to Salt Lake City from Southern California where they -spent three weeks. The K. K. K. 4-H club met at the home of Miss Rose Seegmiller last Saturday evening and discussed the assembling of a demonstration team to compete for honors at Hurricane Hur-ricane next Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. David Gurley of Pleasant Grove spent last Friday and ' Saturday here while en route home from a tour of the coast. They are very well known here as Mr. Gurley was athletic instructor at the Dixie College, for a number of years. |
