Show VEYO Veyo, Sept. 14. Bishop and Mrs. J. L. Bunker attended the carnival in St. George last week. They returned home Saturday bringing the teacher, Mrs. Hodapp, with them. Saturday afternoon some of the men and children, child-ren, with the teacher cleaned up the school house, repaired and filled the cistern preparatory for school. The Misses Lila and Verna Leavitt will leave in a day or two for Bunkerville, Bun-kerville, Nevada, there to attend high school this winter. Misses Phyllis Cottam and Maud Heywood have gone to St. George to attend the Dixie college. ENTERPRISE Enterprise, Sept. 15. Five carloads car-loads of fat and feeder cattle left this point this week for Los Angeles market, Mr. Hall and L. M. Terry going go-ing with them. Since our last correspondence to the News, we have had nearly an inch of moisture which although late will yet do us a lot of good, and help some with fall plowing and seeding. Our school starts today with very bright prospects, Mr. Fawcett as principal and an able corps of teachers teach-ers in the different grades. Born, on Sept. 11, a girl to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barlocher, all concerned con-cerned ding fine. Henry day is home again after working in Cedar City this summer. Mrs. Lamar Bleak is visiting her mother, Mrs. Jos. Piatt, in Lund. Arthur Huntsman left for Cedar City today on business. William Lund is in Modena this week on business. |
