Show SPRINGDALE Springdale, Sept. 15. Just received receiv-ed word that the cook shack including includ-ing all untensils and food supplies of the construction company building road in Zion park was burned to the ground, today, defective pipe the cause. Loss not known. Supt. Walter Ruesch and wife and Mr. and Mrs. Sholzon, manager at the Zion camp are spending a few days' at Grand canyon, Bryce and Cedar Breaks. A party of railroad people arrived in the park today, to make final arrangements before the building program commences in early October. School commenced here today with Laron S. Andrus of Washington as principal. The other teacher is Miss Pauline C. Sheppard, of Chicago. Dan Winder and Myrtle Crawford, both highly respected young people of this, place, were married recently in the St. George temple. Many people from the outside settlements attended the wedding on the night of the 12 inst, given by Jess Gifford and Irid DeMill. Alex. Dalley and family of Summit are visiting at the home of O. D. Gifford Gif-ford for a few days. Senator David Hirschi was a business busi-ness visitor here from Hurricane on the 12th inst. Rupert Ruesch and Elwood Dennett Den-nett are attending school at the Dixie college. Harold Russell and John Ruesch were in Hurricane on business yesterday. |
