Show HURRICANE Hurricane, Sept. 15. School started start-ed Sept. 15. with eleven teachers and we hope to have a better school. The seventh grade room was insufficient insuffi-cient to hold all that grade so will have to make some changes in order to accommodate all. Yes, we are growing. Frank Sullivan and Chester Slack returned home Sunday night from the Arizona line where they have been working on the road between here and Pipe Springs. They report the road in fair shape in their district. dist-rict. Marion Stout and son Edwin came in from Mt. Trumbull with loads of lumber Sunday and expect to take some to St. George. Amos Workman, Al. and Matt Hartley have leased the Arnold Graff coal mine at Kanarra and left for that place today. Geo. I. Spendlove and family have just returned from northern points where they have been visiting the past week or so. Lafayette Hall has moved home from his homestead on the mountain where he had been since last spring. Paul Peterson and family have returned re-turned home from California after having been gone several months. Alvin Hall has moved his family back from St. George where they have been for some weeks. Frank Mangum has- gone to Buckskin Buck-skin to log for Nelson's sawmill. Rex Allen and family of Orderville are here visiting relatives. Rainfall last week registered 1.02 inches. |
