Show SPRINGDALE SPRINGD-ALE, July 28. Spring-dale Spring-dale observed July 24th. After the firing of salutes, a band serenaded the town. Floats representing each organization in the ward formed in the parade, followed by a program of music, readings, speeches and a one-act play. H. L. Reid of St. George talked on the lives of the Dixie pioneers. Sports for the children were held in the afternoon followed by a baseball base-ball game between the Springdale and Rockville teams. A dance was given in the evening. Larkin Gifford is suffering from an attack of pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Seegmiller of Cedar City are visitors at the home of M. E. Gifford. - |
