Show SCOUT NEWS About fifty scouts of the stake hiked to the sugar loaf Saturday where they were entertained at a weinie roast by the Young Men's stake board. They were joined by a few M men. J. W. Harrison and B. Glen Smith were given charge of the progra,m. Each troop was asked to put on a stunt, after which the weinies were enjoyed. The scouts of troop 403 are entertaining enter-taining their parents tonight at the gym. The troops of the town are busy preparing for the Soparovan which is to be held at Cedar City May 4 and 5. At this soparovan a number of contests are to be featured. The three troops of St. George will meet in a preliminary contest at the city park Friday afternoon. It is expected that the boys will get much valuable practice prac-tice thereby. The St. George troops have planned to entertain about 150 scouts from Ne-Nevada Ne-Nevada on May 4. The Nevada boys will visit the college, after which an outdoor dinner will be served. After dinner the St. George scouts will leave with the Nevada boys for the Soparo--van at Cedar City. |
