Show ANOTHER LADV MISSIONARY WRITES TO HOME PAPER Washington County News. Dear Editor: It is wilh gratefulness grateful-ness and appreciation that I write you a few lines for you exceeding kindness to me. Since a child 1 have enjoyed reading read-ing the home paper very much, but never as I do now. Hy it I am brought into nearer contact with friends and conditions at home. I am enjoying my mission very much; the experiences and good one receives from such work cannot be measured in terms of money. And my sincere desire is that every Latter-day Saint hoy and girl could have the same opportunity. How greatly we are blessed as a people cannot be fully realized until one has the chance of meeting wilh people as only a missionary does. Then we can partly appreciate the many blessings the Lord nils seen lit to give us. .My companion and I had the privilege of visiting parts of the conference con-ference last week with the conference confer-ence president, and it has given me a broader view of the great work the church has to do, through missionaries. mission-aries. The harvests are ready to be reaped and all we need are willing hearts and hands to garner them. We have been holding Branch conference con-ference yesterday and today and we surely enjoyed the spirit of the Lord in rich abundance. This evening we held a baptismal service, wherein six souls were added unto the fold of Christ. I wish to again voice my sincere gratitude to you. And 1 pray the Lord to bless you. May the New Year bring joy and prosperity to you and your family. Sincerely your friend. Minnie Hafen. 1 en 7 Pierce St. Omaha. Nebra.-ka. |
