At no stage of the game did the Cedar-ites Cedar-ites have the least show. The Dixie boys proved too much for them all through. It was really too easy for the "Fliers" to be called a good game, as can be seen by the score which follows: DIXIE HIGH G. F. T. E. Romney, rf 6 0 12 R. Webb, If 3 0 6 L. Cox, c 4 19 M. S. fought a good game of ball on Tues-v Tues-v day night, report a. great time. It was a real holiday for the people of Eeaver county, a great number of whom had gathered at the county seat to see their team "lick the stuffing" stuf-fing" out of the "Dixie Fliers." They had also prepared a dummy representing the Dixie team which was hung, the intention being to cut it down and bury it when Beaver won tin game, a grave being already dug and a tombstone prepared to put over the corpse. Coach Lee Hafen of the Dixieites got onto this and during the game he sent one of his henchmen hench-men (Clark Higgins, the News is informed) in-formed) out to cut the dummy down and swipe it and the tombstone. This was done, Hafen bringing them home in his car incidentally it might he mentioned that the dummy had on a good suit of clothes. The Heaver boys proved themselves them-selves real good sports and gentlemen, gentle-men, both in the game they played and otherwise. They fought hard for victory and are to be commended for being game losers. The enthusiasm enthus-iasm during the game was tremendous tremend-ous At the end of the first quarter the score stood 10-10. At the half he s-ore was 28-16 in favor of Dixie.
