Show MODENA Modena, Feb. 14. Quite a number of the young people attended the hard times dance at Zane last Saturday. They report a nice time. Mrs. Elmer McDowell who was operated op-erated on at Cedar City last week for the removal of goiter is recovering nicely and expects to be home soon. A. L. Force and Howard Huling were in Cedar City Saturday having J some repair work done on their well drill. Thomas jjund and wife, Will Lund and family left on No. 25 for 10 days or two weeks vacation in California. Blanch Huling is clerking in the post office while Mrs. McDowell is in the hospital at Cedar City. Ivins Pace who has been laying off from work on account of a sore hand, has recovered and gone back to work. The B and B gang have completed the carpenter work on the water soft- I ener and have gone to Lund where they have work for the railroad. Mrs. Nora Wadsworth of Panaca is here with her mother, Mrs. W. A. Bond, who is quite ill. Mrs. Ethel Terry and some friends started to drive to Cedar City one day last week, but had to turn and come back on account of the bad condition of the roads. |
