Show DIXIE COLLEGE NOTES Last Friday morning the Dramatic Art Class "A." under the direction of Ella H. Perkins presented a three act comedy entiled "Aunt Maggies Will" which was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Those taking part were: Lois and Vera Judd, Grace Miller, Fern McArthur, Minnie Seegmiller, Merle Stucki, Virginia Jarvis, Florence Whipple, Leah Cottam and Ruth Ramsey. Ram-sey. Extra numbers were a clarinet and violin duet by Howard Cannon and Karl E. Fordham and a piano solo hv Rlnnrhe Nelson. The winners of the popularity contest con-test which was carried on over last week were announced in the dance Monday night. There was a large number of votes cast for each candidate candi-date Friday but LaVera McArthur and Ray Whipple received the majority and so hold the honor of being the most popular girl and boy in the Dixie College. Col-lege. A dance was given in the Gym Monday Mon-day night to raise funds to help defray the expenses of our year book which s near completion. Wednesday morning a short program pro-gram was given in Devotional which consisted of a splendid talk by John T. Woodbury, Jr. and a trio by Vella Ruth Moris, Juanita Seegmiller and Effie Bracken and a piano solo by Olive Reeves. Quite a number of our students are planning on attending the big league basketball games between Dixie and the B. A. C at Cedar City March 2nd and 3rd. |
