Show WOODWARD SCHOOL College Third Grade Last week we heard the story of Columbus, and his ships with sails. We were very interested in the story. Now Dale Stevens has made a' large sail boat that will float on the water. He can raise the sails up and down. We are proud of Dale. President Smith brought each of us a new Citizenship book. We are Captains in Uncle Sam's Citizenship Citi-zenship Training Corps. Now we hope to be better citizens wherever wher-ever we go. We are all wearing our Captain badges. Miss Graff's Second Grade We like to write stories. Here are some that we have written. Oh, dear Columbus. What a wonderful man was1 he. He sailed over the sea. He was the man who discovered America and we all love him. All little children that want to be like him must be brave and strong. Columbus sailed in three ships, the Santa Mlaria, Pinta and Nina. Erma Wbodbury. The Mtouse One day a little mouse came in our house so we let the cat in. The little mouse ran under a box. The cat went behind the box and our dog, Specks frightened frighten-ed the mouse so it ran out and the cat caught it. Enid McArthur. |
