Show MESQUITE Mesquite. Nev., Jan. 10. Anthon Abbott, a son of Bp. W. E. Abbott, while en route for home from the road camp at Crystal, where he works as a maintainer was speeding when his car left the grade upsetting over a high fill, injuring his back and probably fractured his shin bone. The car was burned completely up. Some tourists en route for California Califor-nia happened along, picked him up and brought him home he is now confined con-fined to his bed. The sickness as reported last week to be scarlet fever proved to be ger-man ger-man measles. No more cases have broken out and Miss Carlson is back at her work in the school room. Miss Carlson's father came to be with her through her illness and is still here enjoying the warm sunshine but will leave soon for his home at Logan. Utah. Elders W. W. Hughes and L. R. Abbott and wives were home missionaries mis-sionaries to Littlefield last Sunday. Howard's Garage is making some improvements in the way of appearance appear-ance on the building. The people in general are preparing prepar-ing for spring planting of lawns, gardens and grain. |
