Show GUNLOCK Gunlock, Sept. 1. Five car-loads of people went from here to St. George to attend the funeral of Jos-iah Jos-iah H. Leavitt, a members of our ward. His father, eight brothers and four sisters were in attendance, all being there except one sister who was unable to attend. He leaves a number of relatives and friends to mourn his sudden departure. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Holt went to Modena Friday to take the latter's sister, Mrs. Fred Blake, who has gone to California to visit before returning re-turning home to Oklahoma. J. S. P. Bowler is still confined to his room but is improving nicely from an accident, when a ladder fell on his leg and badly bruised it several sever-al days ago. Henry and Richard Bowler of Bigelow ranch are here helping Howard How-ard Leavitt make sorghum. Work is progressing nicely on our school building. |
