Show ZION OIL AND REFINING CORPORATION The "Pan Pacific Progress" of August had an article on the above-named above-named company in part as follows: "Located in the south-west part of Utah, not a long distance from Los Angeles, is a place where thousands of people have been taken by the Union Pacific Railroad and these people have been enthused over the weird beauty of the scenery and who were surprised over the soil, water and climatic conditions, and most of all were surprised to find that nestled nest-led .close to this marvelous scenery is one of the finest oil fields to be found; this field seemed like a treasure treas-ure that had been hidden, for all this long time few people knew anything of it, and now after a few years of development, the Zion Oil and Refining Refin-ing Corporation acquired valuable holdings on the peak of the structures struc-tures and these leases are so located that, with the exception of one, the oil can be carried by gravity to the refinery. "The corporation owns oil leases and interests in United States oil and gas prospecting permits which give it the oil rights in twenty-seven hundred hun-dred acres of land in Washington County, Utah. "The corporation already has an oil well on two of these leases and another well down near oil bearing sand, as all indications show. They have put one well on the pump and erected a one-thousand-barrel storage stor-age tank on this lease. "The officers of this corporation are: A. J. Ives, . president; E. O. Moore, vice-president; G. S. McMul-len, McMul-len, secretary; C. L. Schellentrager and M. C. Allsop, directors. The head office is at Virgin City, Utah." |
