Show ESCAPES ELECTROCUTION While Edwin Dalton was clearing his land at Harrisburg last Sunday he narrowly escaped electrocution. The line carrying a high voltage set fira to a tree. To save damage to the line Dalton attempted to short circuit ! the wire by throwing a piece of num- ber twelve wire tied to a rock over the j line. He retained hold of the wire when he threw it and received a severe shock, burning his hands and feet quite badly. Fortunateiy for him one end of the loose wire lay on the ground, otherwise other-wise he would have received the full voltage, 33,000, and been killed. He was unconscious for three hours. |
