Show BUNKERVILLE JJUXKERVILLE, June 6. Stake conference was held in Overton Ov-erton last Sunday with Joseph F. Merrill of the cduncil of the twelve apostles, representing th o general authorities. Grant Hardy of Bunkerville and Orton Edwards Ed-wards of Panaca reported their missions. Thirty from this place attended. Mr. and. Mrs. Melvin Leavitt and family of Alamo, Nevada, are visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Weech of Los AngfMes were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I). H. Leavitt over the week end. They were en route to Provo where they will make their home. Mrs. Weech was formerly Miss Leona Durrant of Provo. A heavy rain and bail storm over the week end did some damage to the gardens and the canal here. Farmers were delayed delay-ed in harvesting their grain, some of which is cut and stacked. stack-ed. Men and teams are busy putting put-ting water back into the canal which was almost ruined by the recent floods. Several teams are at work on the highway repairing damage done by the storm. |
