Show UTAH'S VACANT LAND IS SECOND IN NATION Washington, Sept. 2. The state of Utah still has the second largest area of vacant arid unappropuriated land within her borders of any state, amounting to 26,872,21S acres, according ac-cording to a new tabulation just issued is-sued by the interior department. The Utah acreage comprises more than one-eighth of the 199,146,786 acres remaining unclaimed. The land remaining vacant in Utah is evenly divided between surveyed and unsurveyed tracts. There are 13,411,358 acres in the first class and 13,460,860 in the second. Salt Lake Tribune. |
