Show DIXIE BALL TEAMS WIN FINAL GAMES Dixie College Going Strong While High School Team Makes Brilliant Record Dixie basketball teams closed the season in a blaze of glory the past week end when the college triumphed over B. A. C. at Cedar Saturday night by a score of 35 to 18, and on Friday Fri-day night the high team won from Beaver here 40 to 5. In the first game of the series at Cedar City Friday night Dixie College lost to B. A. C. by a score of 31 to 26, after two extra extra periods of play. From all reports this was the best basketball game seen in southern south-ern Utah the past season. This game dedicated the new B. A. C. gymnasium gymnasi-um and appropriate dedication ceremonies cere-monies were staged before the game. The contest throughout was a hectic struggle for victory by two evenly matched teams. The score at the end of the regular playing period was 23 all, at the end of the first extra period peri-od the teams were tied at 26. In the final period B. A. C. scored five points while Dixie was unable to connect. Approximately two thousand persons per-sons witnessed this game and of this number about 200 .were from St. George. As a result of this series Dixie and B. A. C. are still in a tie, and this will be decided in the tournament this week in Ogden. All other games were won by overwhelming overwhelm-ing margins. In seventeen games played the high school team ran up a total of 877 points to 284 for opponents, or an average av-erage of 52 points per game against 16 points for opponents.
