Show LA VERKIN La Verkin, August, 4. Whitney Jones and Ervil Sanders came home from Zion park last Saturday to help in the shipping of Elberta peaches, which started last week. La Verkin will ship a number of tons. The seventeen trucks in La Verkin are now busy hauling fruit to the railroad at Cedar and to other northern north-ern settlements. The La Verkin Canal. Co. took advantage of the low water in the Virgin river last week and put in a cement dam. Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Sanders moved mov-ed to Widtsoe, (when?) where they expect to live until next spring. The third crop of hay is being put up with a report of a good cutting by most of the growers. Grapes and second crop of figs are ripening fast. An excellent crop of both is reported. Miss Melba Woodbury has return-de return-de from Cedar where she has been for some time. |
