Show W. F. FOWLER DIEDJUESDAY Was Resident of St. Gt-orsrc for Ten Years; Funeral This Morning. William Franklin Fowler. 70. died a his home here Tuesday morning ot compneatoms toi-lowing toi-lowing a paralytic stroke which he had about two years ago. His left side and vocal cords-were cords-were paralyzed. He was confined confin-ed to his bed only three days before his death. Mr. Fowler was born May 12, 1SG1, at Marietta, Ohio, and when a boy of nine moved to Exira. Iowa. When a young man he freighted in North Dakota, and came west in 1SS2, settling in the Snake valley, in Nevada. He rode the desert there for cattle cat-tle for a few years, and on December De-cember 19, 1S96, was married to Lura Robinson at Fillmore. , Utah. They resided in (he Snake valley val-ley until 1921, when they moved mov-ed to St. George. , On June 10, this year, he was baptized into the L. D. S. church by Bishop Vernon Wor-then. Wor-then. and was ordtained an elder on June 24. The following day he and Mrs. Fowler went through the temple for their endowments' and to have their family sealed to them. Surviving are his w-idow, and the following children: Mrs. Roger Hardy, Mrs. C. A. Madsen. "Mrs. Milo Blake of St. George; Mrs. C. V. Me-chani Me-chani of Baker. Nevada, and Elmer El-mer Fowler or Milford. (Continued on page 2) FOWLER DEATH (Continued from page 1) Funeral services were held at 10:30 this morning in the tabernacle tab-ernacle under the direction of the West ward bishopric. The opening music was by the ladies' chorus. Invocation, A. E. Miller. The speakers were James Mc-Arthur, Mc-Arthur, Dr. W. J. Reichmann, George Worthen and Isaiah Cox. Musical numbers were a violin vio-lin solo by Mrs. Vera Christian, and a vocal duet, "O Love Divine", Di-vine", by Mary McGregor and Mona Reber. The closing song was by the ladies' chorus. |
