Show WASHINGTON" Washington. May -1. A cantata, The MorniiiK lovy," was presented Friday iiitr,lt b' ,he lower grades of the district school, under the direction direc-tion of the teachers. Misses Linda Larson and Ida Jolley. Tlie children Were in costumes representing flowers, flow-ers, birds, bees, butterflies, fireflies, woodnyniphs, Lady Spring and her messengers. It was very pretty as well as successful. .Mrs. Mary Jolley and small son, Howard, have gone to Delta to visit her sister. Mrs. Henry Schlappy, formerly of this place, who is very ill from injuries received in a car accident. acci-dent. Julius ami Smith Ilannig have returned re-turned from Salome, Nevada, where they. have been the past few months. Miss Ruth Westover of Eureka spent the week end here visiting her mother, Mrs. Ellen Westover. Mr. and Mrs. Lafell Iverson have returned from La Verkin, where they snent the past winter. Mrs. Wallace Iverson of LitUefield. Ariz., is spending a few days here visiting relatives. Miss Minnie Faxman has returned from Springdale, where she has been teaching school. W. 0. Nisson has returned from Hurricane, where he had been teaching teach-ing school. Born, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Rass Cooper, April 22; all concerned doing well. The gleaner girl sot the M. I. A. gave a dance in the gym Monday night.. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Williams of Kanarra were Sunday visitors here. |
