Show Imingjackward 25 Years Ago June 30th, 1910. Mrs. LeRoy Grant died at Cedar City recently. Mrs. Grant was formerly for-merly Miss Mayme. Prince of this place. Word has been received here from Wm. B. Abbott, of Mesquite, that an unusually large badger entered the home of Mrs. A. Lea-vitt, Lea-vitt, 'Of Mesquite, and attacked a three year old child. Help was called and the animal killed. The child was painfully but not seriously ser-iously injured. ' The Bloominigton Canal company com-pany has filed articles Of incorporation incor-poration with the secretary of the State Lars. J. Larson, president; Alfred A. Carpenter, secretary-treasurer; secretary-treasurer; Nephi Fawcett, John A. Stringham and Wallace Blake, directors. July 7th, 1910. The picture show equipment ordered or-dered by W. A. Nelson, Leo Pickett Pick-ett and Charles Whipple arrived and was operated for the first time on July ith. Miss Nettie Macfarlane is working work-ing in Nelson's Ice Cream parlor. Walter Batty and Miss Vera Forsythe, both of Toquerville, were married here July 6th by President E. H. 'Snow. Wjork on the Stake Academy is progressing. Several stone cutters are at work and the cement -water table is now being laid. A group of Washington men have just received a new threshing thresh-ing machine which is being operated op-erated by a steam engine. This is the first steam operated machine mach-ine in this part of the country. Prior to this horse power was used. |
