started Dellana almost lost her left eye The accident happened at her home on a Saturday She was rushed to the hospital later transferred to the Prim a r y Children Hospital in Salt Lake Sh She lost two weeks of school We are happy to have her back Melvin Redcap broke his right arm while playing on tM the hand walkers lie He lost four days of school When he be came back be had bad to learn how to write with his left hand Mrs Chivers just let him scribble the first two days Now he can write real well Reporters Mark Lamb Wade Large While sitting in our seats and busy studying the sixth grade gave us a big surprise They pa- pa paraded paraded through our class room in their Halloween costumes All the classes joined in the parade There were some very funny and gruesome characters in the News We have been learning t to o write our names Another of our work projects is pictures We have been drawing pictures of turkeys our fathers mothers families brothers sisters ba ba- ba babies bies houses and how our fathers get food For Halloween we drew pictures of cats and pump pump- pumpkins kins witches and circles For science we have been do tug ing experiments with beans We put the beans in water They got bigger and softer then we opened them and saw the baby beans We also got water out of the air and we made water go Into the air In our morning cla class s we have been bringing rocks to school We are going to ask Mr Sim Sim- Simmons coons mons our custodian to polish some of our rocks and show us how he polishes and cuts them We have been reading books about Dinosaurs beans The were divided into six groups with each group as as- as assigned signed to one state We made colored maps and put pictures and small drawings on the map to represent the leading pro pro- products ducts I IMy My group worked with New Hampshire Its products are maple poultry products and lumber The people in our group were Sam Brough Karen r a Carolee Moore Nancy Bolton Delphinia Cuch and I Karen
