| Show Bull Canyon reG recommended for wilderness Bull Canyon located on the Utah Utah- Colorado border just north of Highway 40 is being recommended for wilderness The area has been studied in detail by and found to contain the necessary qualifying characteristics Total size of the area is acres of which only acres are in Utah The impacts on all resources have been analyzed and presented in a draft Environmental Impact Statement Copies of the EIS can be obtained from the Offices located in either Vernal or Meeker Colo Public comment is invited on the EIS and decision A public hearing will be held on the Bull Canyon Unit on Dec 8 at the Uintah County Courtroom Vernal at 7 pm This hearing will be the last ty opportunity for the public to express their opinion until the wilderness recommendation is presented to the President and the US Congress |
