| Show Ronnie Lewis Appointed To West Point Mrs Beatrice Harrison of Vernal has received word from her grandson Ronnie Lee Lewis stating he has been appointed to West Point Academy where he will be in training to enter the field for World Championship Wrestling which will be held in Toledo Ohio Ronnie a son of Mrs Al- Al Albert Albert bert F Clapp of Priest River Idaho graduated from the Uintah High School with the class of 58 where he won honors as a wrestler Follow Follow- Following Following ing graduation he enlisted in the US Navy during which time he has been con con- continuing continuing to win honors in the athletic field While stationed in Califor- Califor California California nia he was sent to Ames Iowa to compete in the try try- tryout tryout out for the Olympics Ron Ron- Ronnie Ronnie nie being the youngest con con- contestant contestant and having the le least st amount of training years placed 3rd in the nation During the time lie he was stationed in Hawaii he won honors as the champion in inthe inthe the three pin lIe was then appointed wrestling coach and after a few months he and his team were flown to San Diego to compete with other teams winning several of these matches In March he and his team Were flown to San Francisco where they won the Western Division Wrestling Cham- Cham Championship Championship held on Treasure Island On May 31 he was flown to New York City where he took the National Wrestling Championship in the Greeko- Greeko Roman style wrestling match |
