Show Theatre classes to be oHe offered red redby by Extension Due Vue to the tremendous support of t the he people from Roosevelt Duchesne and Vernal in the Extension Centers Center's Theatre program a three credit class has been added to the curriculum College accredited hours in the Humanities and Fine Arts of Theatre is now being offered Nels Carlson Instructor for Utah State Extension is op- op about the future of Dramatic Arts in the Uintah Basin particularly after the success of the musical comedy The fall quarter Mr Mr Carlson invites people not only in high school but men and women from the communities to participate in these classes as well TilE THE NEW class added this quarter is Fundamentals of Acting dealing with acting techniques to help the student gain more control in an acting situation in front of an audience Possibly there may be two sections one taught in Vernal and one in Roosevelt The class will be arranged in Vernal depending on the amount rno nt of people supporting the class In Roosevelt the Fundamentals of Acting class will be held on Saturday starting January 3 at Union High School Auditorium at 4 pm p.m. Those in the Roosevelt area can call the center at 2294 A new location in Vernal above the Vernal Drug can be reached by calling Technical Workshop II will be taught again because of the productions that must be built This class offers students a a working knowledge of the practical building of sets for a production as well as a knowledge of terms dealing with the production This quarter the extension center Theatre Department will produce Charleys Aunt a three act play Those in the Roosevelt and Duchesne area are encouraged to come to Union High School January 5 at 8 pm in the auditorium for auditions In Vernal the auditions will be held at 8 pm p.m. in the Uintah High School auditorium |
