Walker 53 of Worland Wyoming died recently while working on a drilling rig 17 miles southeast of Worland Cause of death was attributed to a n heart attack Funeral services were held Tuesday of last week at 1 pm p.m. at the Chapel In Worland with Bishop Edward C C. C Hor Hor- sley officiating MR WALKER R was born October 28 1916 1910 In Vernal to George 0 O. O and Florence Winn Walker He lie attended schools in Vernal He Ile served in the U. U S. S Navy during World War II He lie was one time a champion boxer in the welterweight welter division and was also an avid fisherman fishelman He lIe was a member member mem memo ber bel of the Church Mr Walker married Margaret Morehouse Morehouse Morehouse More- More house in Craig in May of 1953 They made their home in Vernal most of their married life liCe where when Mr Walker was employed as a n cook HE AND his family moved to Worland Worland Worland Wor Wor- land in 1967 where he obtained work for Exeter Drilling Company He lie had hada a back injury two years ago and upon recovery he changed employment to Loffland Brothers Company in July of last year Mr Walker was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Terry and Glade Terry was drowned while serving in the armed services in the Panama Canal Zone Glade was electrocuted while working for Moon Lake Electric in Lapoint SURVIVORS include his widow three children Phillip Walker and Mrs Rube Phyllis Hillhouse twins and Diane Walker all of Worland two step sons Johnny Morehouse of Isleton California and Carl Morehouse of Bakersfield Cal Cal- Also one grandson four brothers Owen Walker Green River Wyoming Marvin Walker Woodland Washington Neldon Walker Canton Illinois and two sisters Mrs Ray Erma McConkie McConkie McConkie McCon- McCon kie of Vernal and Mrs Doyal Alice Lambert of Anaheim California PRAYER AT the mortuary was by Jay Turner Elsie Rail was organist John Reed gave the invocation Lillian Leithead geve the obituary and remarks A song Sometime Well We'll Understand was sung Gary was speaker Abide With Me was sung followed by benediction by Scott Paris BURIAL WAS in the tile Riverview Memorial Memorial Me Me- morial Gardens Lowell Walker dedicated ed the grave Pallbearers were Gordon Hayner Rayner Dennis Wagner Glenn Culver Darryl Singes Art Taylor and Keith Whaley |
