P Sewell Funeral services for tor Sam Preston Sewell were held Saturday at 11 am a.m. in the Jensen Chapel with Bishop Wade presiding Prayer at the mortuary mortuary mortuary mor mor- was given by Luther Stewart PRELUDE AND postlude music at the chapel was by Mary Anne Snow A song Sometime Well We'll Understand was sung Merit Meril Snow gave the opening prayer Remarks and a short history were given by Bishop The first speaker speak speak- er was Marvin Peterson He lie was followed followed fol fol- fol lowed by a song Home on the Range II The final speaker was Curt Dudley The concluding song was Unanswered Yet A Prayer Mary Anne Snow accompanied accompanied ac ac- ac companied all aU musical Deon Moon gave the closing prayer PALLBEARERS WERE Ronald Stewart Slew Stew art Fritz Stewart Nile Ainge Ralph Chew Fran Eran Peterson and Raymond Stew Stew- art Burial was in the Jensen Cemetery Cemetery tery under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary Nile Ainge dedicated the grave Mr Sewell is survived by his mother brother Ted of Denver sisters Lillian Valencia Freedom California Beatrice Deatrice Barace Blanche Monohan and Doris Madison San Jose California and a anum number num num- ber of nephews and nieces His father and one sister Lucy Stewart preceded him in death HE DI DIED E D of a self inflicted gunshot wound Wednesday morning of last week near the Nile Ainge an anold anold anold old friend and neighbor found round him Mr Sewell was born September 13 1900 in Albuquerque New Mexico to William William William Wil Wil- liam and Lucinda Riley Sewell They came to Utah when he was a year old and lived near Vernal for several months THEY THEN went to Colorado where they homesteaded returning to Jensen in 1909 where Mrs Sewell has since resided Mr Sewell received his education in inthe inthe inthe the Jensen School lIe He helped his father on the ranch and in the summer would go all over the valley pitching hay for forthe forthe forthe the ranchers HE SPENT much of his time fishing and hunting with his horses From 1931 until 1962 he was employed for Lewis Wyman Sr working with the sheep The last three years before he retired he spent the winters with his mother Since 1962 he lived with and cared for his mother in Jensen Attending from town out were Doris Madison San Jose California Ted Sewell Denver Ronald Stewart Fort Worth Texas and Leon and Tera Lee LeeRoss LeeRoss LeeRoss Ross and daughter Karen and LuAnne of Roosevelt |
