L Murphy Funeral services for Edwin Leslie Murphy Murphy Mur Mur- phy 82 of Upalco were held Monday at 11 a am a.m. m. m in the Altamont Ward Chapel Mr Murphy died Friday in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment He is a brother brother brather bro bra ther of Mrs Samuel Williams of Vernal Ver Ver- nal Mr Murphy was born January 8 1887 in Salt Lake City to Emanuel B. B and Eliza Ann Lambourne Murphy He married married mar mar- ried Lovina Moon June 27 1907 in the Salt Lake Temple She died December December De De- cember 4 1960 HE MARRIED Flora M. M Jensen in the Los Angeles Temple He is a graduate graduate gra gra- of the University of Utah and was wasa a school teacher for 16 years He was wasa a member of the Duchesne County School Board for 13 13 years Mr Murphy was a district board representative representative re reo for two terms and Teachers Teachers Teachers' Teachers Teachers' Teach Teach- ers' ers Association president for three years He was also a board member of the Duchesne County Hospital HE SERVED several years on the Governors Governors Governor's Governors Governor's Gov Gov- study commission for education in Utah He owned and operated a general general gen gen- eral merchandise store He was Upalco postmaster general timber and coal contractor contractor con con- tractor rancher farmer Mr Murphy served a church mission church mission to Germany and was Duchesne Stake president for eight years SURVIVORS include his widow sons and daughter Mrs Bob Drucilla Felt of Roy Norman and Paul both of Roosevelt Roosevelt Roose Roose- velt 11 grandchildren five stepsons and stepdaughters sisters Mrs Samuel Agnes Williams Vernal Mrs Elwyn Geneva Williams Salt Lake City Burial was In the Upalco Cemetery |
