Show AMELIA AINGE final rites held Amelia Arnelia Ainge Funeral Held in Jensen Ward JENSEN Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a ani am m in the Jensen Ward Chapel for Amelia Jane Yeager Ainge 84 of Jensen who di died l Friday of natural causes at her home Mrs Ainge was born October 18 1884 in Salem Utah to George Thomas and Amelia Hall hail Yeager Mrs Ainge with her parents and three sisters and anda a brother came to the Jensen area in 1899 SHE MET and married Thomas David Ainge March 4 1902 There were four boys and five girls born to this couple Her husband and two daughters preceded pre pre- ceded ded her In death The marriage was solemnized In hi the Salt Lake Temple Temple Tem Tern pie June 24 1946 Mr and Mrs Ainge were were known known as Aunt Mellie and Uncle Tom to all who knew them Their home was always open to everyone teamsters traders Indians and especially to all of the children of the of the area MRS helped th the the sl sick k and needy heedy up tip and down the river whenever whenever when whenever ever she was needed As a a midwife she brought many of the babies into the community The hour was never too early or too late for someone to ask hsk for lor her assistance She was active in church work and was a Relief Relief Society visiting teacher teach teach- er for 52 years She was also Relief Society Magazine representative for many years Mrs Ainge was m married to C. C U. U Miles for a few years years years' and cared for or him in his illness until his death in 1942 IN LATE R years she made her home with her brother George Gorge in Jensen When he sold his ranch and moved to Vernal In the spring of 1968 she divided divided divided divid divid- ed her time among her children visiting visiting visit visit- ing each of them in their homes At Atthe Atthe Atthe the time of her death she had been living with her daughter Mrs Deon Moon for five months The old Ainge home is now the home for the Leland Von Gardner American Legion Post No MRS AINGE Is Is su survived by liy y sons o ons s Leaon Howard and Horace of Jensen Arthur of Colorado daughters Mrs Ralph Lula Chew Vernal Mrs Deon Moon Jensen and Mrs Virgil Virgil Vir Vir- gil T T. T Amy Sims Salt Lake City 27 grandchildren 43 great grandchild ren sisters Rebecca Stewart Jensen Mary Woodward My Myton ton and a brother George E E. E Yeager Vernal The funeral services were conducted conduct conduct- ed by Dee Curfew counselor in the bishopric Prayer at the mortuary was given by Charles Woodward Mary Ann Snow played prelude and postlude music The singing mothers sang Someday Well We'll Understand accompanied by Miss Snow Nile Nile Ainge gave the opening prayer Dee Curfew gave an eulogy of Mrs Ainge Kay Trujillo sang That Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful Won Won- Mother of Mine accompanied by Sylvia President Ross Merrill was the speak speak- er The singing mothers sang Prayer Perfect accompanied by Miss Snow Marvin Peterson gave the prayer Percy Stewart dedicated the grave Pallbearers were grandsons David and Claud Sims Merle Muirhead Leon Moon and Roddy and James Evans Flowers and lunch were under the direction of the Relief Society Burial was in the Jensen Cemetery he suffered a stroke He lived for awhile awhile a a- while in Salt Lake City and later returned returned re reo turned to Vernal Mr Jensen is survived by a daughter daugh daugh- ter Mrs Jack Leone Larson of Salt Lake City and nine grandchildren He lie was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda who died at the age of 16 FRIENDS MAY call at the Vernal Mortuary Thursday morning prior to services Burial will be in the Jensen Cemetery |
