Show Uintah High Band accepts AF invitation The Uintah High School band under the direction of David F F. Platt has accepted an Invitation invitation invitation in In- by the United States Air Force Academy Band to travel to the Academy near Colorado Springs for a music clinic with members of the Academy Band Final approval for Cor the bands band's trip was given recently by the district staff This will be bethe bethe bethe the first time in recent years that the high school band has been able to make a trip of oC this nature TilE THE BAND will tr travel vel to Colorado Springs January 13 spending that night in the city The next morning will be spent at the Air Force Academy where members of the band will willbe willbe willbe be treated to special instruction by members of the Air Force Band This will be a great experience experience experience ex ex- for Cor o our r students to come into contact with professionally qualified players of each of the instruments stated Mr Platt Piatt The return trip home will be 00 made January 14 Any parents of band students who are interested interest in making the trip with the band should contact Mr Platt as soon as possible While the high school bands band's enrollment remains small this year the students are progressing well Platt ex The public is invited to attend the Christmas concert December 20 to be given In conjunction with the high school choruses under the direction of Reed Hanson Donations wUl will be accepted at the door |
