Show f I II Ic I so MR AND MRS JOHN CLYDE Hacking and Mr and Mrs Iowa Clive Hacking will celebrate their Wedding Anniversaries Anniversaries An An- November 20 at the Golden Age Center Hackings to observe I anniversaries I Mr and Mrs John Clyde Hacking and Mr and Mrs Iowa Clive Hacking will be celebrating their Wedding Anniversaries Saturday November 20 at the Golden Age Center They are inviting their families and friends to enjoy this special occasion with them at an Open House from to 9 pm p.m. No gifts please Clyde married marrie j Cora Burgess Burgesson on November Nov 17 1926 in the Salt Lake Temple They homesteaded in Deep Creek bought and ran the Purebred Ranch for many years Later they sold the ranch and bought a dairy farm in Neola Utah from the Rex Gardiners After retiring from from the farm they moved to Vernal CLYDE AND CORA worked with young people in the MIA of the Church in Neola Cora was also active in Primary and Relief Society She has an outstanding talent for quilting other handicraft h and growing flowers which she has shared With others for many years The couple has three children two sons Arden and Tommy Vernal and daughter Jennie Lee Coy of Rangely Colorado eleven grandchildren and three thre great great- grandchildren S 1 24 i t. t iv i t Jr j i. i i r 1 Iowa was married to Lucy Smith November 17 1926 also solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple They homesteaded on Diamond Mountain eventually lly selling this land and building a home in inVernal inVernal inVernal Vernal where they live at the present time IOWA IS A farmer and carpenter and is active in the Church working with the Scouts and Deacons and is secretary of the High Priests Quorum at the present Lucy began a teaching career at age 13 by working in iq the Sunday School later teaching school for 26 years and after retirement continues to teach Sunday School She loves sewing and does a variety of lovely han han- Iowa and Lucy have four children Lorin Vernal Gayla Duke Tempe Arizona Neldon Spokane Washington and Lela Shave Spanish Fork Utah eight grandchildren and two great grandsons Both Botn Clyde and Iowa enjoy the hobby of braiding and Iowa ties flies and is an avid rock hound Many will remember the Hacking Twins playing basketball for UHS in their high school years |
