Show Hunting Birds Permitted on Only Four Species Recently the Utah State Wildlife Board set rules and regulations for taking of birds according to Grant K K Jense Conservation officer Division of Wildlife Resources BIRDS that may be taken bv by the public at any time in conformance with all applicable statutes and ordinances ordin ances antes are the starling crow magpie and English sparrow All other species of birds are protected and may not be hunted or killed in any manner except game birds during prescribed season Persons contemplating hunting the four species listed above should become familiar liar with each bird before doing so so The English sparrow or weaver finch was introduced into the U. U S S.
